Designing a DIY Teeter Totter (Seesaw)

When constructing a DIY teeter totter, proportions are important.   We recommend that the height of the pivot be approximately 30 inches above the ground.  The length the teeter totter works well at 10 feet.  The wooden beam is 2 2″x 8″s glued and screwed together.  The metal components are galvanized pipe and connectors.  Bury at least 18″ of pipe in the ground.  And concrete it in.

    thanks in advance.
