LDS Humanitarian Efforts

Today is my last day in Uganda.  Our group starts it voyage back to the USA tonight.

This morning, with our driver, I visited a new housing development (Kirinya Kito) on the outskirts of Kampala.  Ugandans were hard at work constructing homes and tilling garden areas.  When I asked about the water situation, they took me down to a recently developed spring.  On the concrete wall next to the outlet was the following sign:

Komando Water Spring/funded by the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints/Constructed by Ywdan/2011

Boy was I surprised.

I was very proud of the LDS Church.  But (there always seems to be a but) I wish we would do a lot more.  The problems are so big.  Please contribute to LDS Humanitarian Services.
