$0.66:  The amount earned by the average Ugandan coffee farmer for every $100 spent on retail coffee purchases in Western countries.

  1. This is realy sad.
    It was the case in Kenya afew years back – and I remember my father cutting down the coffee to plant maize and beans. However, the Coffee Board of Kenya monopoly was cut by Government privitazing the coffee sector, and now plenty of people making are earning good money.

    The coffee bushes were in full bloom three weeks ago when I went home.
    Nice turn around.
